Wilmington NC Real Estate Attorney Lawyer Discipline

A North Carolina lawyer was Censured April 2, 2014, for not reviewing a Settlement Statement, and allowing a non-lawyer to stamp his name on it. He was not present at the closing. Of course there were errors, and then he failed to timely address the errors, or even admit his conduct was wrongful.( In NC lawyers are required to oversee their staff’s work product. RC)
